There is an aesthetic anthropology to memory that allows it to be translated from pure sentiment into a visual experience. Applying universality to subjectivity, I began the process of isolating individual memories and ‘curating’ them. Using a combination of found, orphaned, and acquired objects, this recent collection of work demonstrates that one cohesive ‘memory’ is actually an aggregate of experiences amassed and assembled over time.
Currently, I am working on a series of allegorical micro-interiors. Just beyond the nascent stage of completion (but still firmly conceptually developed), these pieces follow the experiences of seven hobby horses. This body of work will incorporate kinetic sculpture and miniature video installation.
